The safety of our customers and our employees remains the highest priority so we have been working hard to welcome you back safely.

We’ve introduced new measures so you can enjoy a safe and comfortable shopping experience.

Social distance shopping

Our employees and signage throughout the Whitehaven Garden Centre will remind you of the social distancing guidelines. We may ask you to follow a one-way system through certain areas of the centre. Please follow the guidance from our employees and the signage.

Extra cleaning and safety precautions

We are doing extra cleaning and sterilising to make the whole centre as safe as possible for you, including additional cleaning of ‘touch points’ such as card payment points.

Hand sanitisers will be stationed throughout the garden centre, as will protective screens at key points.

Our employees have been issued with additional personal protective equipment such as face coverings and gloves to wear.

Payment

Card payments are preferred to reduce the amount of contact between you and our employees. If this is not possible, we will accept cash payments.

We have also installed protective screens at the checkout to provide extra protection.

Face Coverings

In line with government guidance, we request that you wear a face covering at all times whilst within the garden centre.

Importantly we would request that you do not come into Whitehaven Garden Centre if you or members of your household are displaying signs of Covid-19 including

• High temperature
• New persistent cough
• A loss of sense of smell or taste
• Or you have been advised to self-isolate
